Résumé
This article tackles the fields of educational intervention and interculturality. It aims to show to what extent the argumentative intercultural diary is a facilitator and a mechanism which falls into the framework of an emancipatory educational intervention aimed at leading students in a reflective and argumentative process regarding their perceptions, representations, visions of the world, as well as their relationship to themselves, to others and to the socio-cultural diversity that characterizes their context. In this regard, the article will present the major concepts along with the paradigmatic and philosophical choices that underlie the argumentative intercultural dairy. A detailed presentation of this mechanism accompanied for illustrative purposes by diary excerpts, written by students enrolled in bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education at the University of Reunion Island will constitute the last part of this contribution.
