Résumé
This article first presents an overview of the uses of the French phrase vivre(-)ensemble (“living together”) and its German equivalent Zusammenleben in the template versions of the two main Swiss curricula. The article maps the concept of “living together” by identifying the parts of the curricula in which the concept is brought into play, and the disciplines, objectives and content with which it is associated. It also analyzes issues and projects related to “living together”, on one hand in order to identify their main features, and on the other, to elicit their local translations. Finally, based on the research findings, the article analyzes three issues relating to education in “living together” in the context of schools and teacher training.
